Weirdo's corner: Separating the quick launch bar.

As you all know some of us like getting to our program in a split second... for productivity purpose? So, most of us often cram our quick launch bar with all the program that we frequently use. The other way aws to pin it to the start menu. However there is the extrordinaly way of doing so by using object dock (like myself and gniB..don't know if he still using it...).

Lovely objectdock... if you do not mind the increase in start up time ...

Occasionally, i would like to use a diffrent technique to get to a program in seconds, which brings us to the main topic....separating the quick launch bar...

  1. Right click the taskbar and make sure the lock taskbar option is not ticked.
  2. Click and drag the quick launch bar to any side of the screen (top, left or right... your choice!)
  3. Right click on the Quick launch bar and make sure the the option "always on top" and "auto-hide" is ticked.
Now you can add a lot more icon and have no trouble at finding it.

Please note: I am not sure this would increase start up time. so if someone, anyone could test it futher, let me know.

au revoir.....
